Three
men who ran in the Marathon Free Press / Flagstar Detroit in the
American city died during the race, announcing the daily Free Press in
its electronic edition. All three deaths occurred between 9 and 9:20.
One of the men, aged 26 years, collapsed at the finish line and died later at 9:20.
Another man, aged 36, collapsed on Avenue Michigan Avenue at 9 and was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The third man, aged 65, fell and hit his head on the pavement. Unfortunate accident occurred at 9:05 local time. Local police spokesman said the information is not the fall guy because in the first instance.
Fatal occurring during maratoanelor are quite rare - one death per 100,000 participants, according to some studies, tells the Free Press. Approximately half of deaths occur in the last miles of the race.
