China's ambitious plan to harness more wind energy could attract investment of 150 billion dollars to the extent that Beijing would create necessary infrastructure, notes Reuters.
By 2020 China is the production of 100 gigawati annually, using wind power, eight times more than occurs now even more than the entire electricity production of Great Britain. Target of this plan is encouraging the use of renewable energies.
The shares of companies producing wind power equipment have increased significantly since the beginning of this year. China High Speed Transmission (CHST), the largest manufacturer of gear boxes for wind turbines, recorded increases of 60%.
China, the second largest energy consumer in the world each year emits the largest quantity of greenhouse gases which cause climate change irreversible. This push Beijing to drastic measures to reduce emissions from power plants.
"In view of our wind energy is the best investment option for the most used worldwide to produce renewable energy," said analyst Clarisse Pan. He said he expects this branch of industry to grow with 24% each year until 2020.
