I am a corporate speechwriter and journalist, specialising in humour.
My first experiences of top flight public speaking were at the Oxford Union. I saw Enoch Powell, Paddy Ashdown and Michael Heseltine in action.
After university I worked for newspapers contributing to the 'Peterborough' column on the Daily Telegraph and a spell on the obituary column of the Guardian. For six years I trained to be a public speaker with Toastmasters International.
My first book, 'Men & Collections' was published in August 2003.
In 1999, I was asked to do a one year speechwriting contract for Peter Sutherland, Chairman of BP. After that I decided to advertise in Private Eye to pick up more business.
I do all kinds of scripts from keynote addresses to best man and father of the bride speeches.
Shakespeare, Erasmus, Quentin Tarantino, David Chase, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under.
